★Description
These are secondhand, recycled kimonos.

This recycled Yuki Tsumugi silk fabric has a stylish feel, with diamond and tortoise shell patterns woven into a purplish-black background.
This is recommended for occasions such as dining out with older people or friends, going to the theater, visiting a shrine for New Year's, or going out in town (movies, shopping).

Yuki Tsumugi is considered a high-quality textile, comparable to Oshima Tsumugi, and is the only silk textile designated as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
It is made in Oyama City, Ibaraki Prefecture and Yuki City, Tochigi Prefecture, and is also a nationally designated intangible cultural property.
Tsumugi silk is worn as everyday kimono, as well as for outings such as tea ceremonies and dinner parties.

At Kimono Hitotoki, which handles recycled kimonos and other items, we also offer cleaning, size alterations, and tailoring services.
