This is a used, recycled obi (book band).

This is a classic recycled obi (sash) in black, adorned with phoenix and plant motifs.
It is recommended for occasions such as weddings, ceremonies, coming-of-age ceremonies, hotel parties, and other formal gatherings.

Tyrian purple, also known as "imperial purple," is a highly prized dye because only a small amount of dye can be extracted from a single shell.
This Imperial Purple dye possesses the property of never fading, and it is a legendary dye whose use was only permitted to those of high rank.
